About Sealant Technologies, Inc.

A Spray Foam Innovation Company

Our Heritage

Every idea starts with a problem and ours was simple: high pressure spray foam systems are too expensive and complicated, especially for smaller projects in existing buildings. This idea really hit home as we started Ag-tite (www.Ag-tite.com) back in 2005. Since we were both the contractor and at the same time developing the spray sealants platform to help farmers, we were asked ourselves "Why is this so hard?".

Part of what made it so hard was the frustration and expense when we were forced to be down for an an entire day because we couldn't fix the spray gun, or the 55 gallon drums needed to be heated because it was a cold day. Then there were all of the small projects that many of the farmers wanted us to do that were in the $1,000 - $3,000 range, but our only option was to send our Dodge with the 40' trailer and a crew of guys which was expensive.

It turns out there was a simple explanation. The spray foam insulation industry is dominated by spray equipment and chemicals that are focused primarily on the new residential housing market and the commercial roofing business. There is no real interest in creating small, portable spray systems. The machines in the market today are built using technology that is over 20 years old. Also, the spray equipment and chemicals are not integrated, causing a lot of confusion for anyone using the spray system, especially if it is just a small project.

So we started Sealant Technologies Inc.
in 2010 to create an alternative.

We see Sealant Technologies, Inc as a company that will sweat all of the details so that our potential customers to can use our spray technology to do the job that they want to get done. Because we ran our own contracting division and a national partnership network for over 7 years, then we understand the pain points and know what needs to be created. That doesn't mean we don't listen to customers, but often it's hard for them to tell us what they want new portable spray technology really doesn't even exist now!
