While building efficiency and tightness are critical to achieving energy saving, the way that an agricultural facility is heated or cooled is now beginning to change. Traditional sources of fuel, like propane, are quickly becoming less viable because of the their escalating cost. While other fuel sources in the past have not been economically competitive, that is changing and farmers are now beginning to realize that there are energy alternatives.
One of the most obvious choices for farmers would be to use biomass. Biomass is anything grown from the ground that can be cultivated in a large amount that could serve as a fuel source, primarily for burning. Biomass could provide many answers to the challenges which farmers face, particularly when it comes to heating their buildings.
Ag-tite ag sealants allow the farmer to tighten up his agricultural building so that he would get the most performance out of the biomass heaters. When Ag-tite ag sealants are used in conjunction with biomass heating systems, it is possible to all but eliminate propane as an energy source.
